-Hi everybody

I am creating a spiritual successor of Castle Wolfenstein from 1981 before id bought the copyright.

Unlike Wolfenstein 3d, the original was a slow stealth game with limited ammunition.

In this version of the prototype, you can shoot guards but for now, they won't react to the noise or dead bodies.

This version of the game is linear but I want to create a massive map,  a sort of free-roaming, in this version of the game most of the items you find in chests are random.

I used google translate for phrases in German, if someone who speaks German would play the game and if they see any mistake, please just write a comment and I will correct it.

- Items

Gun: press B to shoot

Bullets: collect them to shoot  with your gun

Uniform: if you find the uniform, guards won't attack you, but sometimes they could summon you for an inspection if they see you.

Gold: During an inspection, you can bribe a guard with a piece of gold to leave you alone.

Pass: if you have a pass you don't need any gold to convince the guards to leave.

note: if you bribe or show the pass to a guard they won't bother you anymore.

- Future Goals

  1. interactive tutorial
  2.  interactive prologue
  3. weapons (priority)
  4. enemies variety
  5. enemy chase and attack the player
  6. new items
  7. a randomizer for enemies and items
  8. 5 different floors with at least 15 rooms each
  9. a final boss
  10. music

- Credits

Characters, items icons and the nazi flag are all my original creation while I took the assets for the prison from Rekkimaru: https://rekkimaru.itch.io/gb-studio-dungeon-tileset-8x8

Very cool, will be waiting for future updates.

Really cool game. A suggestion would be to include a mini fight when a guard sees you, similar to the legend of zelda II.

this is actually a really interesting idea for a game :) are you planning on adding puzzles or is it going to be more about stealth and looking for chests?

thank you ^.^

Yes, I was already planning to add some light puzzle elements in later floors of the castle, nothing to complex because I don't want to break the flow of the game that is already slow but at the same time I don't want the gameplay to be too repetitive.

Hi I just wanted to mention that instead of "sofort aufhören amerikanisch!" the correct sentence would be "Sofort aufhören Amerikaner!" because "amerikanisch" ist an adjective but you need the noun "Amerikaner". By the way I really liked the game. I found the system with the uniform and the gold interesting and cool. The only thing I didn't like was that the beginning was a bit too hard even though it got easier later. What would be nice are rooms that give more life to the castle where you can for example find objects like notes of other prisoners or nazi propaganda (that is of course just an idea).

thank you I will fix the grammar mistake in the next update.

the game is hard on purpose because I want the player to feel to be in enemy territory but I am working on smoothing the beginning, and I want to balance the difficulty of the rooms because I want the game to be hard but not frustrating.

The prison is only the first floor, I want to create more distinct floors and I was already planning to add more story to the castle for the player to find.

thank you for your feedback

I really enjoyed it! I particularly like the movement, it was very fluid and felt perfect to control the player. The first few screens felt a bit difficult for the very beginning of the game, but once I got used to it, the game was very smooth and fun to play. I hope you add more (maybe a combat element?), I'm looking forward to whatever you add. Nice job : )

Thank you :)

I was planning to add a gun and maybe a knife in the next build of the game

Really cool game!

Thank you :)
